"Losing a whole year"

Another year passed. Did a lot, and did a lot of nothing at the same time. Never been big on resolutions but last year made one to start running regularly again, and stuck to it until I blew my knee out. This years is to eat healthier as I'm probably on my way to having a heart attack with the amount of cheeseburgers I take in. One cheeseburger per week, that's it. I said it last year at the Lark Tavern with the fam, "you gotta hate in 08, to shine in 09" and we did just that.

Hope everyone had a good Holiday, I had the mellowest Christmas, spent half the day in a dive bar with my old man, then crushed two bottles of wine and did enough laundry to kill a small horse. I got a GPS, some flannel pajama pants, and some gift certificates. No complaints...so glad the holidays over, shits way to much. It's just a day off to me fam.

"I don't want a lot for Christmas"

My family hasn't asked me what I want for christmas since I was 15. It's harder to shop for people as they get older, they have what they need and want, and it's twice as expensive. Im not a fan of holidays to begin with. I have no idea what it's rooted in but, I'd have to say that my family being as dysfunctional as it is might have something to do with it. I expect nothing and get a little something which I'm always grateful for, my rents are broker than me, and I'm broke. I usually get myself something after all's said and done but this year I've decided to spend that money on the seeds. I gave a skateboard to Toys for Tots and I'm going to get presents for my friends seeds. Making sure the seeds are happy is what makes my grinch like heart grow two times its size.
But if ya'll are feeling generous and want to get me something here's my miniscule list...

A french Bulldog, preferably a male. I've wanted one of these lil babes for a long time. I always stash a little bit of money aside for one and have the breeders contact through a friend, but something always comes up and I need to use the money.

A Canon G10 is next on my list. This is the crem dela crem when it comes to point and shoot photography. 15 megapixels, shoots in raw format, and takes amazing video quality. I will probably sell my Street Fighter II machine to buy this in the spring, unless one of you gives it to me as a gift. I'll even shoot your wedding for free when you get married!

Last but not least, the ugliest sweater ever created. I saw this in a picture at H & M while with Matt B. As you probably know I hate H & M with a passion, but fell in love with the most beautiful ugly sweater ever and have been throughout the northeast looking for it without luck. I've lurked the internet high and low only to find this pic. If you see this in your travels in an XL preferably or a Large, buy it and I'll flip ya extra cash for the troubles.

"A lack of color"

I'm over the snow already. I'm over shoveling and I'm over shitty driving conditions. I think we've had more snow in the last weekend than we have in the past 2 winters. Can we not have anymore snow, maybe just some cold? Also no more wind either, my knee can't take this shit, ya'll ever walk around with a cane in the snow, shit ain't hot. I need a drink, its been a couple days.
3 more days til Christmas, and I haven't even thought about shopping or gifts yet.


The snow has its moments, but it'll never be as pretty as me.

Its passed me by again...30 years of my life have passed by, I can't remember every last one of them but know that I've missed a couple of chances due to fear. We all have fears and all deal with them in different ways. I have a lot of things I regret doing and a lot more I regret not doing but, the past is exactly what it is...the past, I'll take the memories and make the best of them chapter by chapter in this book I call my life.
Could've, should've, and would've have been beating the shit out of me for sometime now, I'm kinda over hanging out with them. "Killing it while blowing it", and "Always winning, while constantly losing" are two characterizations that portray this Captains journey pretty well thus far.

Whoot Whoot, whatchya'll know about "adult snow days?" That's right nothin', cause we made these a reality! Ice storm 08' in and around Albany had 170,000 homes and business' without power. The shop being one of em. Well an ill bunch decided to start fading at 10 a.m. which I'm definately about...The bar opened at 11 and dudes couldn't see straight by 1 p.m. So all in all I'd say it was a success. Burdface award goes to "Devon the dude" 10 hours straight with no food or break...I love watching people get cut off, Mosca came out at 7 and came in a close second with the 3 hour fade to retard status under the belt once again. Who's challenging the belt tonight?!!!!!


Dave got so drunk he thought he worked at bombers, dude was washing his own shot glasses...

30 is the new 21. Come celebrate Dave and I officially joining the AARP. Dave doesn't leave the house on his birthday so we're sharing the night.

This all-star cast doesn't lose. From the first cinnamon roll to start the weekend out, to the last one Sunday evening upon leaving each other, we didn't lose. We won so hard that a house full of dudes had to challenge the title in the middle of the street and bottles were smashed, fist were thrown, and shit was talked, and of course we came out on top.




Thanks to everyone for drinking beers from the time we woke up til the time we passed out. Demal for the non-stop comedy, Armin for putting me up and the entire Boston crew for an epic weekend, winning is too graceful for all of us.
